Pratt and Miller C8 GT3.R Pratt and Miller C8 GT3.R

Pratt Miller Motorsports recently unveiled the C8 Corvette Z06 GT3.R in its iconic yellow and black livery on X (formerly Twitter). Its menacing appearance is a sight to behold for Corvette fans!

This GT3.R model is a key inspiration for our aftermarket parts designs, bringing racing functionality into everyday Corvette use. Elements like the long and wide side skirts, reminiscent of barge boards in racing, influenced our C8 Corvette Stingray 1VM Side Rockers. Similarly, the GT3.R's canards have inspired our designs, emphasizing the racing aesthetic.

New UAW-GM Labor Contract Ratified: A Step Forward for Workers

The new labor agreement ratified by General Motors workers represents a significant stride in wage equality and investment in future projects. The contract, endorsed by a majority, promises notable wage increases and a solid future for electric vehicle production.

With a 55% approval, the deal found strong support among workers in GM Components Holding, distribution centers, and EV battery plants, with immediate raises up to 89%. However, a slight majority of traditional plant workers voted against it.

Despite differing views, all employees will gain from an 11% wage hike and a $5,000 bonus. The contract also pledges a $2 billion investment in EV and parts production, with top wages expected to reach over $42 per hour by 2028.

"This contract sets a new standard in the automotive industry, paving the way for growth and fairness."

Though some concerns remain, particularly regarding retirement benefits, the agreement is seen as a balanced effort offering substantial benefits for many workers.

Chevy Dealers Face Allocation Challenges: Corvette Orders on Hold

Chevy dealers are currently grappling with a halt in Corvette allocations, marking the third month without new Corvette orders. The slowdown at the Corvette Assembly Plant, due to scheduling delays and incomplete builds, is believed to be a contributing factor.

Despite announced Dealer Order Submission Process (DOSP) dates for all Chevy models, Corvette allocations remain in limbo. Dealers anticipate potential allocation updates on December 7th and January 18th. In the meantime, the Corvette Assembly Plant is still finalizing and dispatching 2023 models, hinting at a possible reassessment of Chevy's production approach.

"Chevy is concentrating on resolving the current Corvette production issues, aiming for improved quality and efficiency."

The Corvette community is optimistic about a resolution that ensures the quality and timely fulfillment of existing orders. More details are expected in the upcoming constraint report on November 30th.

New Wickerbill for the C8 E-Ray & Z06

Exciting news for 2024 Corvette E-Ray and Z06 enthusiasts! A new SIG spoiler extension, reminiscent of the C7 Wickerbill, has been spotted on the Chevrolet.com configurator, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of these models.

The SIG extension, adding flair to the E-Ray's low-profile spoiler, is a nod to the discontinued C7 Wickerbill, sparking speculation about its comeback.

"The SIG spoiler extension infuses the 2024 Corvette E-Ray and Z06 with a dynamic new look, recalling the iconic style of the C7 Corvette Z06."
