Chevrolet C7 Corvette Spoiler Options | ACS Composite

When it comes to Corvette wings and spoilers there are a ton of options available! It's never been a better time to own a Corvette and has a plethora of options to choose from when it comes to spoiler upgrades. But, between aero, stage, wings and more what does it all mean?!

Don't worry ACS Composite has got all the information to you need to make choosing the right spoiler set up for your Chevrolet C7 Corvette an easy one! So, let's get right into the nitty-gritty and break down all the available options:

Stages versus Aero

We hear customers referring to the spoiler of a Corvette in a variety of different ways. The two most common are calling the level of their spoiler as a stage two or aero level two. Stage and Aero are used interchangeably. At ACS Composite, refer to our spoiler setups as Stages because it is more descriptive of what is happening. At each stage of your spoiler upgrade, there is an identifying change. There are a total of five (5) combinations of spoiler setups you can have on your Chevrolet Corvette:

  1. Stage 1 | PN 45-4-110 CFZ
  2. Stage 2 | PN 45-4-111 CFZ
  3. Stage 2.5 | PN 45-4-116 CFZ
  4. Stage 3 with S2 Wickers | PN 45-4-111 CFZ 45-4-112
  5. Stage 3 with S2.5 Wickers | PN 45-4-116 CFZ 45-4-112

Stage 1

All base C7 Grand Sports and Z06 will start at this level. It is the barebones setup and includes the spoiler base with the Stage One Wickers. These are the smallest options available and measure just over 1/2" from the top of the spoiler base.

Stage One Wickers

This is the conservative option. Typically, you're taking this option if you're not into the a "louder" looking Corvette. You're trying to blend in (No one blends in with a Corvette) and keep a low profile. It offers little to no aerodynamic gains over the standard z06 spoiler base (no wickers). If you have a Grand Sport or Z06 and you're reading this, then you likely already have this or even the higher spoilers.

If you have a C7 Stingray and wondering if this will fit on your Corvette, then the short answer is yes it will fit; however, there will be an overhang of 1" inch off your rear body due to it being narrower than the Grand Sport and Z06. You can learn more about this item for your Stingray or as a replacement part for your Grand Sport or Z06 by clicking here.

Stage 2

Next up from the Stage 1 setup is Stage 2. The spoiler base remains the same, but you will remove your Stage 1 wickers and put on a larger wicker height. The Stage 2 set up offers a balanced look between aggression, performance, and subtly. It sits between the tallest and shortest wicker height which measures 1 & 1/2" from the top of the spoiler's base.

Stage 2.5

The Stage 2.5 setup, if you have not guessed by now, is taller than both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 wickers. Sitting nearly 2 & 1/2" inches taller than the spoiler base, the Stage 2.5 wickers is aggression and downforce in its rawest forms. Its tall wickers will be one of the first things you notice about your upgrade and likely the first someone will ask you about. Do you want to make your Corvette look as badass as possible? Stage 3

The Stage 3 section of your spoiler can be split further into two options making up our fourth and fifth spoiler option available for your Chevrolet C7 Corvette Z06, Grand Sport, and Stingray!

The common denominator in the Stage 3 setups is the inclusion of the central polycarbonate window that connects between both wickers. This is ACS Composite PN 45-4-112 and can be bought separately if you already have the desired wickers on your spoiler. You can learn more about the polycarbonate window by clicking here.

That being said the two sub-options of the Stage 3 setup are: 1) Stage 3 with S2 Wickers and 2) Stage 3 with S2.5 Wickers. Pretty self-explanatory, but let's jump into it and take a look at both options.

Stage 3 with S2 Wickers

This setup is simply the Stage 2 wickers we looked at before (They measure 1 & 1/2" above the top of the spoiler base) with the inclusion of the central polycarbonate window. This gives you feel of the full stage 3 setup, but with a milder height that some describe as not obnoxious as the taller setup that we will look at next.ACS Composite Stage 3 Spoiler with S2 Wickers

Stage 3 with S2.5 Wickers

Our fifth and final option is the pinnacle of downforce and aggression styling. The mac-daddy of Corvette spoilers. This Stage 3 setup features the two larger wickers, measuring 2 & 1/2" offer the top of the base spoiler, and the central polycarbonate wicker. This one is for the track warriors out there trying to eek out as much performance as possible.

And, those are our five options available for your C7 Corvette Grand Sport and Z06. As we mentioned, these will fit if you own a Stingray; however, if you keep reading below we have something exclusive for the Z51 Stingray which replicates the look of these spoilers and wickers.

For those wondering, all the wickers and spoilers that come from ACS Composite are all painted Carbon Flash Metallic Black which will match all the Carbon Flash accent pieces on your Corvette for a perfect and consistent match. Secondly, there is no drilling involved or rear fascia removal required to install any of the above products. The caveat is if you do not have the spoiler base already on your Corvette!

Check out this video we made showing a sample of the install process for the Stage 3 setup

Stingray Z51 Spoilers

Finally, let's look at our two options available for those with the Stingray Z51 package because the only way to get the above look on your Stingray is to fully swap out your spoiler and you paid for the Z51 package so why get rid of it! Here are the two options available for your Z51 spoiler:

Five1 Boltless Wicker Conversion Kit (45-4-061 CFZ)

Our first setup includes two wickers that go on either side of your z51 spoiler. They feature a smooth finish for a stealth look and sit just over 1/2" above your spoiler base. Removal of your rear fascia is required to install this product as there are no outside bolts to hook it up. Let's take a look at it:

Finally, we have our bolt-on setup which replicates an authentic look for those wanting the truer Stage 2 look found on the Z06 and Grand Sport Corvette. This visible bolt pattern means you will not need to remove your fascia install. You simply put them against your spoiler base, drill the necessary holes, install the supplied hardware and you are good to go! Let's take a closer look at this product:
