Upgrade Your C8 Stingray with a C8 Z06 Spoiler
New Product Release: ACS C8 Corvette Stingray Zero8 Wicker Spoiler
Introducing the newest addition to our lineup, the ACS Zero8 Wicker Spoiler. This C8 Z06-style wicker spoiler is designed specifically for the C8 Corvette Stingray. Our goal was to incorporate Z06 elements into the C8 Stingray, bringing a more aggressive look while potentially adding some performance benefits.
The ACS Zero8 Wicker Spoiler offers several key features. Built on top of a zero-drag spoiler, the added wickers introduce a downforce element to help enhance stability.
This style of wicker spoiler was first adopted by Corvette during its C7 generation with the Z07 spoiler, and it has now carried over to the C8 Z06.
Design and Features of the ACS Zero8 Wicker Spoiler
The ACS Zero8 Wicker Spoiler is a stylish addition to the C8 Corvette Stingray, closely resembling the spoiler on the C8 Corvette Z06. It features side-mounted wickers that add surface area, which can help increase downforce and improve stability.
The aerodynamic design aims to enhance the overall driving experience, providing a smoother feel similar to other high-end C8 Stingray spoilers. This spoiler seamlessly integrates with the Corvette's lines, contributing to its aggressive stance. The carbon flash metallic black finish matches OEM parts, ensuring a cohesive look.
Constructed from lightweight PC composite material, the spoiler is durable and resistant to heat distortion, as well as being 3x stronger than ABS. The Z06-inspired wickers maintain great rear visibility and easy trunk access.
The tapered bottom edge aligns with the chevron design of the rear tail lamps, enhancing the sleek silhouette. Installation is straightforward, utilizing existing OEM holes, with a drilling template included if needed.
Installation Guide for the ACS Zero8 Wicker Spoiler
Step 1: Preparing the C8 for Installation
First, raise the car using a jack and secure it on jack stands. Ensure the vehicle is stable before proceeding. Start by removing all the T15 and 7mm fasteners from the bottom of the rear fascia. Work from one end to the other to ensure all fasteners are removed.
Step 2: Removing the Rear Wheel Trim Bezel
If your car has a splash guard or trim bezel, remove it using a 7mm screwdriver. Use a trim tool to pry the bezel off carefully to avoid breaking any brackets. Remove the T15 screws from the rear wheel liner to access the quarter to the fascia area. Only remove the fasteners in the back portion and fold the felt liner to expose the screws.
Step 3: Removing the C8 Rear Fascia
Locate and remove the double 7mm screws and the difficult-to-reach 10mm nut mounted on a stud. Use a ratchet for these tasks and finish loosening the 10mm nut by hand. Remove the T15 screws from the top leading edge and the two small ones in the corners.
Carefully pull the bumper off by unclipping the two ends. Be mindful of the stud pointing downwards requiring a lift-and-down motion to remove it from the car. Disconnect the light switches and harnesses attached to the rear taillights.
Use a fork tool to de-clip the fascia if needed. Remove the rear taillights by unplugging the harnesses with red locking tabs and removing the 7mm screws. This provides easier access to the spoiler’s mounting points.
Step 4: Removing the Z51 Spoiler
There are six fasteners (nuts and bolts) securing the spoiler. Pry the spoiler off carefully using a trim tool starting from the corners and focusing on the middle. Clean the mounting surface using an alcohol solution to remove any wax or debris before installing the new spoiler.
Step 5: Installing the ACS Zero8 Wicker Spoiler
Place the new spoiler in position, aligning it with the pre-drilled holes or using the template if the holes need to be drilled. Start by loosely fastening the 10mm nuts and bolts to ensure the spoiler is properly aligned.
Keep the two-way tape peel tabs accessible for later removal. Once the spoiler is semi-fastened, pull the two-way tape tabs to secure the spoiler fully. Tighten all fasteners once the tape is in place.
Step 6: Reassemble the Car
Reinstall the brake light or center brake light, sorting the screws by type to ensure proper placement. When reinstalling the tail light, make sure it sits inside the fascia to avoid scratches. Clip and lock the tabs, and reinsert the push pins on both sides.
Reconnect all wiring harnesses with red tabs, then slide the bumper back into place, ensuring the stud fits into the key slot. Reinstall the 10mm and 7mm screws, secure the liners with T15 screws, align the mud flaps, and reattach the wheels.
