Revving Up Support: ACS Composite's Role in BGFD's Special Edition C8 Corvette Project
At ACS Composite, we're proud to play a pivotal role in enhancing the Bowling Green Fire Department's (BGFD) latest C8 Corvette project. Our state-of-the-art aftermarket Corvette parts have not only elevated the aesthetics of this iconic vehicle but also its performance.
This exceptional Arctic White Stingray, will continue to support their educational efforts at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, and around the local community.
This will be their second C8 Corvette that was used for this purpose. Their first iteration, Chief 1, was a Torch Red Stingray that was raffled off to support funding efforts of the Bowling Green Firefighters fund.
Excerpt from the last Bowling Green Fireman's Ball:
The BGFD is proud to introduce the Second Annual Bowling Green Fire Department Chief 1 Edition 2023 C8 Corvette, a long-held dream now realized. This iconic car, built in Bowling Green, serves not only for fire, rescue, and EMS services at the GM Assembly Plant and National Corvette Museum but also for various public relations events. The Chief 1 Corvette has been in service since April 2023, thanks to the support of many individuals and organizations.
Key to acquiring this dream car was Mike Furman of Criswell Corvette, who helped locate an additional allocation. The Mingus family and Mason Mingus of Team Construction played a critical role in funding the purchase. Moreover, Chet Baigh of Aerolarri generously donated a set of Hurricane wheels, further enhancing the Corvette's appeal.
Reflecting on the community's resilience and solidarity, Gerald Johnson, GM Executive Vice President, highlighted the crucial role of BGFD during the EF3 tornado in December. In appreciation, a Torch Red C8 Corvette Coupe was expedited to the department, featuring the last three digits of the VIN as "9-1-1". This Corvette is leased to the city for $1, serving educational and community events before being raffled off to support the nonprofit Bowling Green Firefighters Association.
The latest addition to the Bowling Green Fire Department's fleet is the impressive 2023 Corvette Stingray 2LT RWD, sporting an elegant Arctic White exterior. This model, with a total MSRP of $79,680, features 19" front and 20" rear 5-open-spoke Bright Silver-painted aluminum wheels and Michelin® Pilot® Sport All Season 4 run-flat tires. Inside, the Corvette showcases Adrenaline Red Napa leather seating with perforated sueded microfiber inserts, alongside a sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel priced at $695, and GT2 bucket seats for an additional $1,695. Enhancing its exterior aesthetics are the Carbon Flash Metallic-painted outside mirrors and spoiler, Dark Stealth crossed flags emblem, and black exhaust tips. Additional upgrades include a low-profile rear spoiler and front splitter, two-tone seats, Corvette Museum Delivery, and a performance exhaust system, rounding out its distinctive and luxurious appeal.
We are proud to support their newest acquisition with our renowned 1VM Front Splitter and C8 Stingray Z06 Side Rockers.
Our C8 Splitters and C8 Side Rockers are finished in a sleek carbon flash metallic black, perfectly matching the C8 Corvette's existing black components.
The BGFD's "Chief 1" edition Corvette, featured in the 2023 Fireman's Ball, was raffled to support the non-profit Bowling Green Firefighters Association. This Arctic White C8 Corvette is expected to follow suit at the upcoming ball. Take a look at last year's Fireman's Ball raffle for more insight.
